1. How do I start bidding?
To start bidding, you need to register for an account on The Sparkle Gems website. Once registered, you can browse our gemstone and silver jewelry listings and place bids on any items you’re interested in.
2. Can I place a bid on any item?
Yes! You can place a bid on any item listed on our auction platform, as long as the auction for that item is still open. Each item has a starting bid and auction end time, so make sure to place your bids before the auction ends.
3. What is the minimum bid increment?
The minimum bid increment is displayed on each auction listing. Typically, you can increase your bid by a set amount, but you can always choose to bid higher.
4. Can I buy the item immediately?
Yes! If you don’t want to wait for the auction to end, you can use the “Buy Now” option. This lets you purchase the item instantly at your highest bid, and the auction will close immediately.
5. How will I know if I’m outbid?
You will receive an email or notification through our platform if someone places a higher bid than yours. You’ll then have the option to place a new, higher bid to stay in the running.
6. What happens when the auction ends?
When the auction ends, the highest bidder wins the item. If you have the highest bid, you will receive an email confirming that you’ve won, and we will send you instructions to complete the purchase.
7. How do I pay for my auction win?
Once you win the auction or click on “Buy Now”, you will be directed to the checkout page where you can securely pay for the item using a variety of methods such as credit cards, bank transfers, or digital payment options.
8. Can I return the items I buy in an auction?
Please refer to our Return Policy for information on returns. Generally, as all items are unique, returns are not accepted unless the product is significantly different from the description.
9. Can I place bids from outside of Sri Lanka?
Yes! Our platform is open to customers worldwide.
